Empowering Women Globally: Dress for Success Chattanooga & SHEIN Join Forces

In a groundbreaking collaboration that extends its impact globally, Dress for Success Chattanooga and SHEIN are at the forefront of a movement aimed at empowering women. This partnership is part of an extensive initiative that encompasses six Dress for Success affiliates worldwide, including Indianapolis, London, Singapore, Chattanooga, Rome & Milan. The collaboration with SHEIN and Dress for Success Greater London officially started four years ago, setting a precedent for the positive outcomes achievable through strategic collaborations.

Dress for Success Chattanooga has long stood as a beacon of hope and progress, dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence. By providing a network of support, access to professional attire, and essential development tools, we've helped women thrive in both their professional and personal lives. Today, we're excited to announce that our journey of empowerment will be bolstered by the support of SHEIN, a global online fashion and lifestyle retailer known for its commitment to making fashion accessible to all.

United in the Mission of Empowerment

The global initiative, enriched by a collective contribution of $430,000, stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and shared vision in creating meaningful change. As we celebrate this collaboration and its far-reaching effects, we’re reminded of the strength found in unity, inclusion, and the potential for change when we work together toward a common goal. Through this collaboration, Dress for Success Chattanooga, SHEIN, and all involved affiliates are paving the way for a future where every woman has the opportunity to achieve economic independence and professional success.

A Collaborative Effort with Far-Reaching Impact

This collaboration between Dress for Success Chattanooga and SHEIN, energized by the successful collaboration with Dress for Success Greater London, marks a significant milestone in the global empowerment of women.  The generosity of SHEIN extends beyond financial contributions; it marks the beginning of significant initiatives designed to enhance the operations of Dress for Success Chattanooga. We're thrilled to launch our  Professional Women’s Group, with SHEIN as a founding sponsor, and to welcome them as the title sponsor of our annual CelebrateHer event. These initiatives are set to expand our reach and deepen our impact, paving the way for countless women to stride confidently toward their professional futures. Together, these efforts contribute to a broader goal of equipping women with the skills, resources, and networks needed to build successful careers and futures.

A Native Chattanoogan at the Helm of Global Change

Central to facilitating this extensive collaboration is Juanita Brown Ingram, Esq., who is not only the Founder of the London and Chattanooga affiliates, but also currently serves as the Board President for both.  Ingram, a native Chattanoogan and licensed Tennessee attorney, has been instrumental in facilitating this global initiative, leveraging her leadership positions to foster growth, cooperation, and empowerment across continents.

The visionary Fashion Philanthropist encapsulates the essence of this partnership: "This new collaboration is a testament to the transformative power of cooperation," says Ingram. She highlights the shared vision of Dress for Success Chattanooga and SHEIN in empowering women to navigate their professional journeys with confidence, emphasizing the role of such collaborations in breaking barriers and shaping the future for women in the workforce.

Her commitment to this cause has been instrumental in bringing together affiliates from around the world, demonstrating the profound impact of solidarity and shared purpose in the journey toward empowering women worldwide.  Having previously resided in London, Indianapolis and currently living in Singapore, Ingram’s vision and dedication have been key to orchestrating a movement that transcends geographical boundaries, bringing to light the potential of collaboration in the quest for women’s empowerment and economic independence.

Her pivotal role in expanding the partnership to include additional affiliates in Indianapolis, Singapore, Chattanooga, and Italy, and in securing a total of $430,000 in support, underscores the immense impact of collective effort. Ingram's vision and dedication have been key to orchestrating a movement that transcends geographical boundaries, bringing to light the potential of collaboration in the quest for women's empowerment and economic independence.

Happy International Women’s Day and Happy Women's History Month! #InspireInclusion
